The Grants Management Intern will be responsible for a comprehensive grants management and communications project. This will include the creation and management of grants management website content, such as 1-page impact profiles for print and web posting. The individual will gather information from grantees (directly or via surveys or reports) for AARP Foundation’s dashboard, grants webpage and other forums. In addition, the individual will provide grant-making support, including classifying grants, reviewing applications and grantee reports, monitoring/tracking grants, capturing data and key information and supporting dashboard reporting.
- Communication and collaboration with various internal department staff and external programs;
- Meetings with representatives of community organizations, foundations, and public agencies;
- Grant-making support, including reviewing applications and grantee reports, monitoring/tracking grants, capturing key information, supporting dashboard reporting and drafting impact reports to be shared with funding partners; and
- Assisting with the preparation of written grant recommendations and other materials for special projects, as requested
- AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers.
- This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program.
