Donor Relations Intern

Working closely with the Deputy Director of Stewardship Programs and the Donor Relations Associate Specialist, the Donor Relations Intern will support efforts to thank and educate WWF’s donors about the work they make possible, and efforts to raise funds in support of WWF’s vital conservation mission. The position offers a tremendous opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, database management, and project management in a professional environment.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Assist with donor acknowledgement process for specific donor audiences.  This includes:
    • Pulling acknowledgement data reports from WWF’s donor database;
    • Reviewing acknowledgement output queries for data integrity purposes; and
    • Merging, printing, stuffing, and stamping of acknowledgement letters, as needed.
  • Assist Donor Communications & Stewardship team with general office tasks, including ordering office supplies, assisting with mailings, and other responsibilities.
  • Track and code budget expenses for the entire Donor Communications and Stewardship team.
  • Manage physical and digital inventory in SharePoint of donor communications products and manage Donor Communications calendar in SharePoint.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word (specifically, mail merge), Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint preferred
  • Interest in fundraising and donor relations (experience a plus!)
  • Previous experience working in a CRM database preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to take direction and work independently
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs./willingness to engage in some physical labor
Additional Information: 
  • Full-time/35 hours per week preferred
  • Available for a 3-month internship
