AARP's Campaign Outreach team is looking for a social media intern who is a star producer to join its team. This is a great opportunity for you to contribute to the efforts of the department while developing your business skills as an intern for the largest social mission organization in the country. This is a paid internship with an anticipated start date of May, 2019 and end date of December, 2019.
The Campaign Outreach Social Media Intern will provide assistance to the Campaign Outreach team, focusing on social media support Duties will include the followi:
- Draft and edit blog posts, tweets, and Facebook posts. (Campaigns include: Caregiving, Financial Security, Fraud Watch Network, Health Care, and Utilities).
- Create and optimize graphics and photos for social media promotion.
- Monitor and engage with social audiences on Facebook and Twitter.
- Assist onsite at Campaigns events in DC, as necessary.
AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program.
