Membership & Events Coordinator

This job is no longer available

Washington D.C., DC, USA
Full-time

Come join the movement for a #JustEconomy! We’re a network of local and national nonprofits, government and educational institutions working together to create opportunities for people to build wealth. We work with community leaders, policymakers and financial institutions to champion fairness and end discrimination in lending, housing and business. We’re looking for a team member to help make sure that our members get the resources they need and help NCRC to better understand our membership.

If you’re looking to build a career in community development, civil rights, advocacy or macro social work, this is a great opportunity to learn about a vast variety of organizations and types of work within those fields while building practical skills useful for a variety of career directions.

This is a key position to make sure NCRC’s members and other constituents have a positive, personalized experience with NCRC, and to ensure that NCRC has an accurate picture of our membership’s opportunities for growth, interests and engagement level. The coordinator will also think through and manage streamlined communication related to membership and events. Both NCRC’s membership work and event planning rely heavily on clear, accurate data managed by the membership and events coordinator, and rely on the coordinator to set up projects and processes in a data-driven way. The coordinator will manage platforms to support this, and may participate in the selection of those platforms. This includes CRM, dues collection, registration and survey tools.  The coordinator will also share logistical responsibility for events, and will manage registration and materials to ensure a positive on-site experience for attendees. The role acts as a liaison to departments across the organization, including Communications, Development, Training, Policy, Organizing & Advocacy, Accounting and IT.
