This job is no longer available

Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) (www.e2.org) is a national, nonpartisan group of business leaders, investors, and professionals from every sector of the economy who advocate for smart policies that are good for the economy and good for the environment. Our members have founded or funded more than 2,500 companies, created more than 600,000 jobs, and manage more than $100 billion in venture and private equity capital. E2 is a partner of NRDC.

The 1 Hotels Fellowship at E2 is designed to support and develop young entrepreneurs and emerging business leaders who seek to make the world a better place through direct and indirect advocacy for change that’s good for the economy and good for the environment.

Fellows will work in partnership with E2 advocates and staff to identify pressing environmental issues and needs across the country, and then help communicate and amplify the business and economic case for smart policies to address these issues.

Fellows will receive $20,000 each to work on selected projects. Up to 10 fellows will be selected for the 2019-2020 program cycle, which will run from October 2019 through 2020.  See our website for more info.

Fellows will be chosen by a committee of seasoned entrepreneurs and environmental leaders, including members of E2’s national network of business leaders and NRDC’s environmental experts. Some preference may be given to location-specific projects where E2 operates, and to projects that help E2 expand our reach in new regions.

About Us
Mission:

The Natural Resources Defense Council's purpose is to safeguard the Earth: its people, its plants and animals and the natural systems on which all life depends.

We work to restore the integrity of the elements that sustain life -- air, land and water -- and to defend endangered natural places.

We seek to establish sustainability and good stewardship of the Earth as central ethical imperatives of human society. NRDC affirms the integral place of human beings in the environment.

We strive to protect nature in ways that advance the long-term welfare of present and future generations.

We work to foster the fundamental right of all people to have a voice in decisions that affect their environment. We seek to break down the pattern of disproportionate environmental burdens borne by people of color and others who face social or economic inequities. Ultimately, NRDC strives to help create a new way of life for humankind, one that can be sustained indefinitely without fouling or depleting the resources that support all life on Earth.
