350.org is looking for a specialist in mobilizing grassroots organisations and individuals for the Ukrainian campaign goals and other activities of 350.org and ensuring the implementation of campaigns/other 350.org activities in Ukraine.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The field organizer will be responsible mainly for:

  • Building and keeping up an active network of partners and activists in the region to support the campaign goals
  • Help local group leaders and organizers to develop goals and a strategic plan for their involvement in campaigns and mobilizations, to achieve diverse measurable targets such as maximizing turnout, coalition building, advancing justice and equity, media and communications impact etc.
  • Coordinate on the ground related to 350.org activities and campaigns, including Days of Action (DoA), Global Mobilisation Days and rapid response situations, with support from the EECCA team members and other 350.org teams and departments.
  • Devise and deliver creative campaign events and actions, in partnership with a diverse range of partners and groups 
  • Lead and run training programs in Ukraine, if those feature in team plans, with design help from 350.org Trainings team.
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers and/or short term contractors for specific campaign, training or DoA related activities in the region.
  • Support the team in ensuring effective, inspiring communications.
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least three (3) years experience as a trainer of informal education, NGO specialist, volunteer or engagement coordinator
  • Proven ability and efficiency to communicate with individuals and groups for strategic and campaigning goals 
  • Excellent facilitation, training and mentorship skills
  • High level of empathy, emotional intelligence and non violent communication skills
  • Practical knowledge of contemporary discussions about climate change and climate justice and a strong interest in working to solve these problems.
  • Excellent knowledge of Ukraine and English (oral and written)

Desired (but not required) skills and experiences 

  • Experience to work remotely
  • Experience in non-governmental organizations or nonprofit sector
  • Professional experience in international teams and multicultural environment
  • Ready to travel abroad when needed
  • High level of work with Meltwater, CiviCRM, Airtable, Google Suite, Slack and Zoom, or similar systems.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both independently and in teams, highly responsive, and able to lead initiatives as well as take direction from others.

Compensation/Benefits: 

Compensation: 418,500 UAH
