Founded in 1998, The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25. The Trevor Project’s vision is to always be the world’s largest and best-in-class provider of suicide prevention and crisis intervention services for LGBTQ youth, and serve as a leading voice in education, advocacy, and research related to LGBTQ youth and mental health.​

The Director of Major Gifts position is a newly created position that will oversee the major ($25,000+) and planned giving programs. This position will build the structure to grow the major gifts pipeline, formalize planned giving for the first time, and coach the team through this transition. The Director will manage a team of 4 staff, including 3 direct reports. They will manage a portfolio of prospects with high gift capacity and ensure that major and planned giving donors have a meaningful and delightful philanthropic experience. As the organization is poised to kick off a major campaign to fund the strategic growth plan, the Director of Major Gifts will play a significant role in campaign strategy, pipeline development, and solicitation.
