The ReStore Warehouse Team Lead’s role is to supervise the smooth operation of the receiving, procurement, inflow and outflow of ReStore product. As well, the position is customer facing, and representation of the ReStore and HFH brand is a factor in each. Attitude is Key. This person is relied upon to support an engaging and harmonious work environment. Teamwork is Key. This person must have communication skills that promote productivity in a dynamic, often unpredictable work environment. The job is physically demanding, and a commitment to utilizing best practices and safety measures is essential. In addition, being solution oriented and regular collaboration with teammates to build best practices, set priorities and facilitate productivity are all traits that are important to this role. - In coordination with the ReStore Manager, provides general oversight of warehouse operations and staff/volunteer supervision to optimize work-flow, team work and scheduling.
- Oversees all scheduling and communication in regards to donation pick-ups. Ensures truck records and maintenance schedules are followed. Provide back-up to truck staff as needed.
- Provide training to new ReStore Associates and ReStore Truck Drivers
- Providing thorough help and service to front side customers as needed.
- Provide helpful information and education to donors/customers, staff and volunteers about ReStore and Habitat’s mission and purpose, and alternative community resources for items the ReStore may not be able to accept.
- Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks or special projects as assigned.
- Must have the physical ability to move, load and handle a variety of donated items including furniture and building materials.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Successful employees will have problem solving and analytical ability to utilize time management and space management to juggle an ever changing environment.
- Communication skills and interpersonal skills are important for dealing with customers as well as fellow staff members.
