Intern, Youth Health Equity Council

We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Health Equity Council Intern for our Bay Area Division located in Oakland, California . The Youth Health Equity Council (YHEC) is a program that raises awareness about children’s health equity issues by examining chronic diseases and health disparities within both local and vulnerable populations. A key component of this position will be to provide a “youth voice” to the content creation as well as the student led activities and experiences.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Under broad supervision the intern is primarily responsible for providing insight and perspectives on:

  • Recruiting and outreach
  • Lesson plan overview
  • Activities development and evaluation
  • Other projects as assigned

The position is responsible for actively partnering with the Community Impact team to ensure that program objectives are fully met and that progress and outcomes are communicated with funding partners and other stakeholders in a timely and effective manner. This is a grant-funded position that will last for 8 weeks.
