The Information Technology internship program is designed to provide current students thorough understanding and hands-on experience of the various functions of the department. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in IT for the U.S. section of an international non-profit. The IT intern will work creatively and collaboratively with the Senior Systems Support Analyst and various departments within the organization to facilitate information technology solutions. Throughout the duration of the internship, the intern will learn the ins and outs of working for a non-profit IT department.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Research industry trends related to best practices and emerging technologies;
- Provide strategic departmental support;
- Assist in the installation and configuration of new workstations;
- Provisioning of new accounts;
- Assist in the inventory and asset tracking.
- Monitor network activity and performance;
- Consult with vendors, research and evaluate products;
- End-user support, provide basic support to end users i.e. password resets, printer installs, troubleshoot basic hardware issues;
- Assist in creating and updating processes and systems documentation.

Requirements:
- Available part-time
- Technology, Applied Networking, System Administration, or other degrees with applicable experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc).
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
Preferred but not required:
- Currently pursuing a degree in the following majors: Information Systems, Information
- Experience working in an IT department, or in another technically-focused service environment.
- Understanding of LAN/WAN environments.
