The Public Affairs Department for Amnesty International USA is seeking one (1) intern for the Fall 2017 semester, through at least mid-December.

The Public Affairs intern will report directly to the Deputy Executive Director for Public Affairs and will conduct research to support writing projects, draft and prepare briefing materials, and conduct research to identify potential partners for outreach by the Deputy Executive Director.

The Public Affairs Department for Amnesty International USA (AIUSA) houses external-facing bodies of work including media relations, digital engagement, web and technology, celebrity and artist engagement, and events.

Skills/Experience: 
  • Competitive candidates for the Public Affairs internship will be meticulously organized, have a demonstrated interest in communicating for social good, and have proven research skills. 
  • Exceptional candidates will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
