The ReStore Sales Manager is responsible for managing the ReStore staff, the day-to-day floor operations of the store and ensuring the success of the ReStore by generating income and managing expenses of the ReStore through sales and other revenue-generating programs.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Create a fun, safe and personalized experience for ReStore customer base
- Responsible for overseeing the work of staff and volunteers on duty and facilitating a positive, team-oriented environment for those individuals to achieve their full potential
- Ensure quality customer relations; address comments and grievances in a professional manner
- Oversee internal processes to effectively direct the flow of materials in and between the store and the warehouse
- Continually improve the overall appearance and safety of the ReStore and warehouse operations to maximize efficiencies
- Organize store layout and rotate merchandise in a way that best catches customers' attention, simplifies customer shopping and promotes products
- Lead volunteer groups on store projects when needed
- Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. This role will frequently lift and move items weighing 50 to 80 pounds with help. Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday, based on the needs of the business. Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.
Educational Background:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills/Experience:
- 3-5 years of knowledge and experience in retail or service industry
- People management experience
- Experience working with and supervising volunteers in a non-profit organization
- Box Truck and/or forklift operation experience preferred
- Product knowledge of building supplies, home improvement, and/or furniture is a plus
