Associate Director - Leadership Giving

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Associate Director for Leadership Giving. Reporting to the Director of Resource Development for Asia-Pacific (AP), the Associate Director for Leadership Giving is a front-liner position, essentially responsible for securing and renewing gifts from individual major donors/high net worth individuals in AP. He/she will work collaboratively and cross-functionally in the organization, and will be responsible for the development, design, planning and operational management of regional fundraising strategies and activities focused on individual major donors.

The position also entails working closely with National Organizations, other regions (EMEA and LAC) and Headquarters to maximize opportunities and meet revenue targets. The focus countries initially are India, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines and Japan and Korea . However, other countries will be considered when necessary. This position aims to meet USD seven figure income target from the very first year. This position will be based in Hong Kong 

Areas of Responsibility: 

Networking, Cultivation and Solicitation

  • Identify, cultivate and solicit qualified prospects and donors, developing a portfolio of approximately 100 qualified relationships within Asia Pacific and delivering seven figure USD funding across Asia-Pacific in cooperation with all National Organizations and Branches in the region
  • Work collaboratively with Headquarters, other regions, and countries within AP towards growing and cultivating the Habitat Development Council (HDC) and Asia Pacific Development Council (APDC); routinely work with the development councils and other Habitat leaders and ambassadors, and interact with potential major gift donors/high net worth individuals to cultivate personal relationships and develop personal/corporate giving through such networks
  • Identify innovative fundraising and networking activities engaging Habitat Programs across the region

Stewardship and Donor Care

  • Develop and improve a stewardship framework for major donors; plan and implement donor recognition activities including the production of stewardship materials and collaterals; design and implement donor feedback mechanisms; ensure all donor requirements and concerns are addressed adequately and in a timely manner

Strategy

  • Assist in the development and promotion of long term global strategies and programs to maximize revenue potential from individual major donors in AP in collaboration with the National Organizations’ Resource Development and in consultation with their respective National Directors
  • Strategically engage Board members and Volunteer Leaders within the region in soliciting major gifts, and develop and manage other critical action necessary to ensure growth and sustainability of the channel in the region

Management and Capacity Building

  • Oversee functions assigned to the AP Individual Giving Officer and functions of the NOs’ Individual Giving Officers through guidance of their respective RD Directors
  • Manage the development of content and organization of regional meetings, workshops, trainings and other knowledge exchanges specifically focused on major giving
  • Effectively manage KPIs and metrics, budget, processes and HFHI resources

Reporting

  • Ensure that fundraising strategies are (1) compliant with legal and tax requirements including relevant laws on Confidentiality, Data Protection, Money Laundering, among others; and (2) in accordance with religious and cultural norms
  • Provide regular internal and external reports and assessment of fundraising activities necessary in compliance with accountability and transparency requirements
  • Develop/support and maintain all systems and processes necessary for successful major gift fundraising in compliance with HFHI’s global standards, policies and protocols
Educational Background: 
Bachelors degree in Business Management, Marketing Management, Development Management
Skills/Experience: 
  • 8 years of professional related experience
  • Proposal Development, PowerPoints, Excel and Budget preparations, database management

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree

Beneficial but not required:

  • Sales and Marketing Background
