The Talent Relations intern supports Save the Children’s Talent Relations team. The intern will help conduct celebrity research; draft and compile entertainment industry communications material; and help to maintain the talent relations program operational tools and materials. The intern will have a strong understanding of pop culture and social media trends and will help conduct social media research, specifically analyzing celebrity trends on social media.

As an intern or skilled volunteer you will be given the opportunity to network with other Save the Children interns, volunteers and employees and participate in learning sessions about various topics spanning the breadth of Save the Children's work. Through this experience, you will gain a greater understanding about the international development community and how it intersects with the private sector. You will also gain transferable skills that are applicable to a variety of roles, particularly in the non-profit industry, marketing, sales, and client services.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Research and compile reports, such as contact lists, celebrity cabinet coverage in the media and on social media channels, peer organization and celebrity cabinet engagement activities
  • Create and update communications materials, such as PowerPoint presentations, toolkits and guides
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Educational Background: 
Current enrollment in 4 year Bachelor's program. Communications, Public Relations or related degrees preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Attention to detail, analytical, organized, able to manage multiple tasks on deadline and maintain discretion on confidential projects
  • Experience working with databases and other computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite products and social media monitoring tools
  • Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • To be classified as an intern: An individual must be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate academic program and able to receive some level of credit from his/her college or institution. (Minimum requirement is a letter of support and documentation is required only after an internship offer is accepted.)
  • An individual who is not enrolled as a student or able to receive credit from their institution may apply to an internship, however will be classified as a skilled volunteer, not as an intern.
