Spring Grants, Contracts and Compliance Intern

The Grants, contracts and Compliance Intern will support the Manager, Financial Controls and Compliance in auditing the division’s physical files and may include electronic files. This includes but is not limited to, deleting old files, moving current files into its assigned locations, and restructuring unit folders to align with the guidelines set for in the Finance Knowledge Management Guide and Records Retention Policy.   

The principal objectives of this position are:

  • Provide analysis and findings to the Manager of Financial Controls and Compliance or to other Senior Managers so that they can make accurate decisions.
  • Assist with overall records management in procedures and analysis
Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Ensure all files are accurate, up to date, complete, and in the correct location
  • Assures administrative detail on all projects
  • Sustain effective multi-tasking in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with continual conflicting priorities
  • Provide general clerical work as needed on day to day basis
  • Maintain various files on our intranet, SaveNet, N drive, and OneDrive
  • Perform additional special projects as required

 Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Impact

  • Keep documents well organized
  • Maintain document storage
Educational Background: 
Must be an actively enrolled undergraduate student or have graduated within 6 months of start date
Skills/Experience: 
  • A focus on detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer fluency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Currently eligible to work in the U.S
