Social Ventures and new business/operating models are part of Save the Children’s core strategy and an increasingly important approach to how we deliver results for children. The fellow will work with Resource Development, International Programs and other departments across the Agency to support the implementation of our three-year strategy in alignment with the Agency’s New Business Models strategic pillar.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Conduct a competitive analysis of peer organizations who have social ventures/impact investing arms/activities
  • Conduct an Asia-specific landscape analysis of social enterprise and the regulatory framework
  • Assist in framing and defining a business plan for a digital health innovation in Bangladesh
Educational Background: 
Must be an actively enrolled graduate or post-graduate student or have graduated within 6 months of start date
Skills/Experience: 
  • Good understanding of marketing, international business planning and/or social enterprise/social entrepreneurial studies
  • Knowledge of or interest in venture philanthropy and impact investing a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and with many internal and external stakeholders
  • Resourcefulness and willingness to take initiative and work independently
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Currently eligible to work in the U.S.
