The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Part-time Internship opportunity with the Centers for Health Metrics and Evaluation team at our office located in Dallas, TX.

AHA’s Centers for Health Metrics and Evaluation (CHME) is looking an intern interested in gaining experience in methods required to evaluate the impact of AHA’s programs and initiatives. Join an interdisciplinary team and contribute to a wide variety of program evaluation, public health, and health promotion projects that cross the spectrum of cardiovascular health and disease prevention.

The intern will support a variety of CHME tasks, including systematic literature reviews, basic data analysis, survey design and implementation, qualitative data coding, and administrative tasks related to program evaluation.

Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong ability to understand scientific communications (journals, briefings, reports, statistics, etc.)
  • Strong scientific writing and communication skills
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access), and strong organizational skills,.
  • Experience with program evaluation methodology preferred.
