Youth Services Program Director position open in Northwestern CT.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Northwestern CT YMCA has an opening for Program Director, responsible for working with children and families experiencing conflict. Programs include: in-school and after-school support groups, summer youth employment program and juvenile review board, a diversion program for first-time offending youth.

Educational Background: 
A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other related field is required plus a minimum two (2) years experience in the field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must have demonstrated skills working with youth, be a strong advocate for children, have knowledge & understanding of behaviors relevant to ‘high risk’ children, program development & planning. Experience working with at-risk children and their families is preferred.
  • Must have valid drivers license, clean driving record and the ability to drive an 8-12 passenger van.

Compensation/Benefits: 

Full-time with benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, retirement plan, Y membership.
