Assist in the creation and dissemination of program resources for food banks on the topics of summer feeding programs, strategic planning, child programs, rural access, and other topics based on existing materials and food bank resources. Internship starts 06/03/19 and ends 08/23/19
Areas of Responsibility:
- Support the implementation of a new Child Hunger Strategy by ensuring historic content is aligned with new strategy. Review old programmatic resources, compile new network resources, and create new resources as needed.
- Execute opportunities (newsletters, webinars, new resources, etc.) to share information about the strategy with the network to spread awareness and gain buy-in.
- Plan, develop, and present content for webinars designed to build capacity of member food banks to increase access to nutritious food.
- Support ongoing grant initiatives by reviewing grant reports and documentation submitted by grantees and creating resources based on learnings to share findings with Feeding America food banks
- Monitor and respond to inquiries through the programs inbox, responding to external inquiries using response templates and forwarding to appropriate team member.
- Support content development and ongoing maintenance of Hunger & Health website.
Educational Background:
Graduate intern preferred, undergraduate acceptable.
Skills/Experience:
- Strong written and analytical skills.
- Ability to learn new technology applications quickly (e.g. Yammer, Sharepoint, iContact).
