This internship will primarily support the Corporate Partnerships team, the largest revenue stream at Feeding America delivering more than $90 million in annual fundraising revenue. The intern will work primarily with functional leaders on the New Partnerships and Employee Engagement teams to advance our efforts to engage new corporate supporters and their employees in Feeding America’s mission. Time permitting, the intern may also be assigned projects from the broader Development team (Major/Principal Gifts, Foundations and Network Fundraising Services) but primary focus of the internship will be on the Corporate revenue stream. Internship starts 06/03/19 and ends 08/23/19

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Corporate Partnerships team.
  • Assist with core departmental operations such as donor stewardship, network food bank engagement, database entry and data collection and analysis.
  • Support special projects related to employee engagement function including analysis of employee giving campaign results, collection and curation of best practices, network communication, donor stewardship and reporting.
  • Support special projects related to new business function including prospect analysis and research, corporate philanthropic landscape analysis and operational support to new business directors.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
  • Other projects as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Undergraduate or graduate student with interest in fundraising/development.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a variety of audiences including Feeding America staff, network food bank staff and donors.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail orientation, strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proactive mindset with ability to work independently on assigned projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and some experience with database entry/management.
  • A strong commitment to public service and volunteerism.
