Habitat Charlotte is currently seeking a talented professional to fill the role of Director of Human Resources. Reporting to the VP: Finance & Admin, and overseeing 120 employees, the HR Director operates as part of the extended leadership team. This position is responsible for ensuring the organization has the talent and enabling processes required to execute the vision and mission of Habitat Charlotte and achieve desired results. The HR Director is a steward of the organizations values and culture, maintaining a positive work environment and enabling employees and managers to operate in a productive manner.
The HR Director partners with managers to enable employee development and performance coaching and serves as a liaison to the Senior Staff, Board Personnel and Investment Committees.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for Habitat’s mission; possess at least 5 years of experience as an HR generalist and at least 3 years of experience in a leadership/managerial role; proven ability to drive organizational culture forward; enthusiasm for teamwork, resourcefulness, accuracy, initiative and critical thinking; strong written and verbal communication skills; and a college degree.
This is a forty-hour per week full-time position, Monday through Friday and includes a full benefits package.
