Full-time

Teach For America – Bay Area seeks a Manager, Onboarding and Credentialing to own all communications and messaging with incoming teachers and track their progress in getting ready to join us for summer training. From the moment they receive their offer to join our corps, you will ensure that all incoming corps members are eligible to teach by the first day of school, feel supported throughout the pre-service process and are fired up to join the Bay Area.  The first impression of our region is the foundation for how corps members view Teach For America. In this role, you are charged with shaping that first impression of TFA-Bay Area and will be a key leader in framing the experience of our newest teachers from when they receive their offer to join us until they begin their work as a teacher in the fall.

This individual will lead specific projects aligned to our team’s vision and strategies for confirming and retaining our incoming corps, potentially including how to engage our broad network in the Bay, how to begin to build the mindsets necessary to be a leader in the classroom and in our schools and how to create strong systems for tracking progress toward being certified as a teacher in California. The Manager, Onboarding and Credentialing will also coach and develop incoming corps members toward success throughout the onboarding experience by building relationships with individuals, troubleshooting challenges that may arise, and providing ongoing targeted support, as needed.

This position offers a unique opportunity for an individual who enjoys cultivating relationships and influencing others. An individual would be especially motivated in this role if energized by communicating large amounts of information with clarity, creating organizational and tracking systems, developing project plans that help us stay focused on what will have the greatest impact, and building and leveraging relationships to drive the actions of others. Successful candidates will have a keen and empathetic eye towards people’s experiences while managing complex logistics at an exceptional level. Ideally, you demonstrate unusual attention to detail, a highly-developed ability to anticipate and solve problems, and a knack for learning and building new systems.
