The Senior Manager of HIV Programs will work under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer.   The Manager will provide management, oversight, and supervision of day-to-day activities for all HIV programs. This will include supervision and direction of Program Managers, data collection/entry by program staff, and submission of reports. The Senior PM will work to increase the capacity of the department by applying for additional funding (government, foundation, corporate, in kind) to meet the needs of the department.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead in planning the delivery of HIV initiatives and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization and contractual regulations.
  • Monitor program budgets and ensure expenditures are within program guidelines. Complete Continuation of Funding Applications/Budgets.
  • Supervise a team of Program Managers, Health Educators, Outreach Specialists, and Interns by providing direction, input and feedback.
  • Serve as primary contact to the funding agency, completing all required reporting and tracking of contract deliverables.
  • Participate in external coalitions to facilitate mobilization and build organizational capacity and meet community empowerment goals.  
  • Liaise with other members of DCS to ensure effective and efficient program delivery, support overall DCS mission.
  • Ensure proper completion of required documentation and date entry prior to submission as well as ongoing coordination of project evaluation.
  • Facilitate team staff meetings and identify professional development opportunities for program staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work, or related social science field (Masters Preferred)
Skills/Experience: 
  • Possess good communication and oral presentation skills;
  • Candidate must have experience in program management (budget,  supervision, working with funders), working with diverse populations including LGBT youth/young adults and HIV prevention;
  • Experience in HIV testing (pre and post counseling preferred); with knowledge of Ending the Epidemic (ETE) principles and U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable)
