The Associate Director-Asia Pacific (AD-Asia Pacific) will report to the Vice President, Global Foundations, Organizations and Institutions (FOI) will be a front-facing FOI fundraiser for Asia-Pacific Region and will contribute to /and implement the FOI Global /Asia Pacific Regional Strategy. The AD-Asia Pacific will identify and share FOI forecasts and coordinate the FOI pre-positioning, proposals and stewardship in partnership with relevant HFH colleagues. A key role is to build partnerships and work in collaboration across HFH. This highly-motivated AD-Asia Pacific with proven success will aim to meet a target of approximately $7-10M annually, increasing to $20M+ annually in three years' time and contribute to team success.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Contribute to and implement the FOI Global /Asia Pacific Strategy and implement in partnership with key internal stakeholders, especially those in Asia Pacific
    • Identifying opportunities and establish effective strategic internal and external relationships to help achieve HFHs objectives.
    • Develop and maintain an Asia Pacific-wide FOI external network and relationships that align with Asia Pacific and Countries strategic priorities and maintain the CRM system
  • Effectively coordinate a collaborative process with key stakeholders (National Offices, partner organizations, Area Offices, HQ, GCDR, finance, program and communications)
  • Manage and deliver on the target of US $7-10M annually and increase to $20M+ annually in three years.
  • Coordinating the grant reporting process in accordance with HFHI's global grant management protocols and structure to ensure reporting requirements are met in a timely fashion and in full compliance with the donor's reporting standards including
  • In accordance with HFHI's global standards, policies and protocols, develop and/or support and maintain all systems necessary for successful FOI fundraising in Asia Pacific
  • Supervise the involvement of external contractors (ej. grant writers), interns, and/or FOI staff.
  • Direct all aspects of administration for the FOI function including budgeting, key performance indicators and metrics, and related processes.
  • Work in collaboration with others to set standards and procedures that achieve a high level of quality, productivity and service.
  • Other related duties assigned by supervisor.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • 6-10 years of Proven FOI Partnership/Fundraising Experience

  • Experience in fundraising strategy development.
  • Demonstrated success in completing multiple projects concurrently while balancing competing priorities; ability to meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English with excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent team-building skills and eagerness to mentor a growing team; experience training and guiding colleagues in other offices.
  • Highly collaborative and solutions-oriented with a commitment to delivering excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Computer literate; able to effectively use word-processing, spreadsheet, database and project software.
  • Able to travel internationally up to 30%.

Preferred:

  • Brings existing relationships with the top funders in the following sectors: housing/shelter, community development, and international affairs/human services.
  • Working knowledge of customer relations management (CRM) system.
  • Knowledge of and passion for Habitat for Humanity's worldwide mission.
  • Language skills in other major European languages.

Working Environment:

  • Normal Office Setting. Interacts with HFHI staff including senior leadership, external firms, affiliates, and foundation partners. Complex problem solving will require structured thinking. Fast-paced working environment. Individual must be a highly collaborative convener of key stakeholders across the organization. This position requires a very clear sense of personal ownership for the satisfaction of the foundation partner, as well as the satisfaction of Habitat affiliates, Area Office, regions and HFHI in their collaborative experience in working with the Resource Development department. Domestic and international travel required
