The C360 senior project manager will ensure successful implementation of the C360 strategic initiative including the implementation of projects that support a variety of business capabilities, and which integrate across the organization’s finance, resource development, IT, advocacy and volunteer management systems. Manages the life cycle of project from approval through implementation and evaluation of all project deliverables. Creates a collaborative partnership with the project sponsor, initiative lead, business and technical leads and internal clients to achieve Habitat for Humanity International’s mission. Actively participates in planning project and business requirements for business growth and improvements, new implementations and future solution exploration.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Coordinate with and support the People Lead and Initiative Lead to integrate change management plans and activities into the project workstream; support on-going communications plan to key internal stakeholders.
  • Support Initiative lead in contracting efforts that evolve into annual performance goals for teams and individuals, job descriptions, organizational design considerations, etc.
  • Coordinate with and support the C360 business analyst and business leads to develop and maintain process documentation. Provides the on-going process documentation service or self-service method used by process owners to maintain the process documentation.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members, and stakeholders; throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure the timely and effective delivery of projects at agreed upon date; quality and cost targets.
  • Meet with business and technical associates to review business case; project scope; assumptions; track budget, milestones and deliverables.
  • Create, communicate and manage the project plan and other project-related documentation and provide updates and revisions as necessary. Develop and maintain project documentation; including project charter and plan; business requirements; project budget; use cases; test plans; schedules; dashboards, risk register and presentations utilizing on-line project tools and document repository.
  • Conducts weekly project meetings and provides weekly status reports.
  • Proactively addresses client needs and expectations.
  • Develops and manages change control; quality; communication; and risk management plans for the project as appropriate.
  • Provides status reports and presentations to sponsor and executive steering committee; business unit staff; senior leadership and business project managers as requested.
  • Documents issues, dependencies and tracks them to resolution. Escalates issues and decisions as appropriate.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 7 years experience of successful project management.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficient at leveraging project management methodology and proficient at working through and with others to deliver results that meet or exceed requirements and expectations; possesses strong skills in leading meetings, estimating, monitoring work, problem-solving and error correction, and keeping projects on track.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and LEAN Six Sigma best practices.
  • Strong business process orientation and superior planning and analytical skills
  • Excellent documenting, communications and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to organize work for others; ability to influence without authority
  • Able to work quickly with attention to detail
  • Experience managing projects utilizing Agile methodologies
  • Proficient client management skills to support business analysis and application support activities.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Teamwork skills because most projects require input from individuals with different roles
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
  • Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary

Preferred:

  • Non-profit experience or background.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)/Program Management Professional (PgMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
