Business Process Intern

You will have the opportunity to assist Habitat’s C360 CRM project team in the implementation and roll-out of these new business tools. Our ideal candidate is someone who can think analytically and strategically, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position reports to the Continuous Improvement Director and will be a member of the C360 project Business Process team as well as the HFHI SRT. (Strategy Realization Team).

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Generate and update process flow diagrams and work instructions to document & improve our business processes.
  • Facilitate individual and group discussions to develop & confirm business processes and identify opportunities for improvement & engineer controls in the process to reduce potential errors.
  • Be a dynamic contributing member of the C360 CRM Business Process team & the HFHI SRT.
Educational Background: 
Successfully pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong process mapping background.
  • Must be well-organized, detailed oriented, and able to work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong interest in Non-Profit related work.
  • Available for 29 hours per week. May 2019 – Aug 2019 (dates flexible, 12-16 weeks duration)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge & experience with Continuous Improvement / Lean tools and change management.
  • Knowledge & experience with Excel, Word, VISIO, SharePoint.
Compensation/Benefits: 

At the end of the internship, you will become knowledgeable of international non-profit management. You will also learn how to work in a professional environment and have opportunity to work with IT systems, business, process improvement and change experts. You will have opportunity for personal mentorship and interaction with management.
