Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a talented HR professional to fill the new role of HR Business Analyst. As HFHI embarks on a multi-year project to replace its global ERP, this individual will be responsible for working with users to define and document system requirements for new implementations, systems enhancements, and other projects or efforts impacting their systems portfolio. They will serve as the SME and point-person for their systems processes, identifying areas within the business where process improvements and/or technology can lead to increased efficiency and productivity. The role provides analyses of current processes and workflows and will work with the business to suggest improvements.

Other responsibilities will include facilitating requirements gathering and design sessions, reviewing design documentation with users and developers, preparing process and data models, prioritizing system functionality based on requirements, coordinating pilot and test activities, and ensuring design specifications meet systems requirements.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Solicits client requirements through interviews, workshops and/or existing systems documentation or procedures.
  • Documents, reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Writes detailed description of functional and technical business requirements.
  • Manages requirements for projects, ensuring functional scope is maintained and deliverables are aligned with systems and client requirements.
  • Analyzes and evaluates existing and proposed systems and makes recommendations for enhancing processes and procedures for solving business problems. 
  • Works with clients as well as various technology and business specialists to provide solutions which are consistent with the technology Enterprise Architecture and platform standards. 
  • Provides consultative, technical, and staff support, as appropriate, to support strategic decision-making process.
  • Develops test schedules, review testing plans, track and document testing efforts and assist testing efforts where necessary.
  • Helps facilitate project/enhancement governance and prioritization.
  • Supports existing portfolio of applications through small enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Performs ad hoc analysis supporting special projects.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5+ years of related business experience, preferably having worked through previous HR system implementation projects.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to work on different projects at the same time.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, while meeting aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management. 
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, while effectively managing time.
