Support the MEAL officer in the different monitoring and data related activities.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Data entry of quantitative data, clean data and conduct data analysis.
  • Supervise all M&E casual workers (Enumerators)
  • Conduct observations, Focus Group Discussions and feedback sessions with different persons of different age groups (children, youth, adults) and different gender.
  • Enter data from FGDs, observations and feedback sessions, participate in data analysis and draft reports
  • Compile data from surveys using relevant and appropriate computer packages
  • Ensure that hard copies and soft copies of data collected is kept at project sites in addition to do the needed verification
  • Support in preparing daily informative field reports
  • Support in the process of collection feedback and complaints through different channels
  • Handle any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the MEAL officer
Educational Background: 
Bachelor degree in international development, international relations, public health, nutrition, statistics, rural development, data management, or other relevant discipline
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection activities (surveys, assessments, monitoring, evaluations, etc.)
  • Fluency in speaking English and Arabic is required
  • Ability to write very good quality reports in English is required
  • Good contextual knowledge of local community and social/cultural constraints, realities and organizational relationships
  • Inspires trust within/outside of the organization
  • Develops high levels of credibility and accountability
  • Minimum one-year experience of working in a relief or development agency (preferably in the monitoring and evaluation domain)
  • Knowledge of child protection / child rights
  • Good command of Arabic and English and French if needed
  • Computer literate mainly with MSOffice software package Good communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
  • Ability to deal with children and people from different cultures and backgrounds
  • Ability to foster a good team spirit
  • Ability to transmit information correctly with accountability and maintain confidentiality
