The internship opportunities are open to current students or recent graduates of a college program. The intern is expected to demonstrate a keen interest in nonprofits, as well as interest in a field of study related to the position.
The Volunteer and Employee Engagement team at United Way Worldwide is seeking an intern to assist in coordinating corporate volunteer engagement opportunities as well as developing various resources and tools to be used by United Ways across the network.
- Handle research on our international sites and international volunteer efforts.
- Research industry trends and news related to volunteerism.
- Work with the Volunteer and Employee Engagement team on corporate engagement opportunities (i.e., develop of proposals, create a sample Volunteer Policy, produce volunteer project menu).
- Research volunteer project ideas and develop a library of examples to be utilized across the United Way network
- Assist with United Way events (i.e., Strategic Volunteer Engagement Summit and Day of Action)
- Assist with other projects as needed
- Excellent research and writing skills
