Interns at United Way Worldwide gain valuable learning and working experience at a leading nonprofit organization. The internship opportunities are open to current students or recent graduates of a college program. The intern is expected to demonstrate a keen interest in nonprofits, as well as interest in a field of study related to the position.
The Intern will support the Digital Services team in a variety of areas including Marketing, Data and Analytics and Account Management. Interns will work closely with United Way staff in the Digital Service department to perform such tasks as curating blogs, sourcing articles to share across the Digital Services network, and share campaign content to local United Ways.
- Work across United Way departments to improve marketing strategy and outreach
- Develop processes and strategies for generating content that captures United Way’s work from around the globe
- Assist Local United Ways through Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Social Studio
- Create and provide recommendations for Customer Support flow to manage Salesforce Cases and requests from Local United Ways
- Support Marketing team projects including data analysis Assist with other projects as needed
- Interest in learning about digital marketing strategies (ex: social media, email, and advertising).
- Organized, creative, and analytical thinker
- Quick-learner, with a can-do attitude
- Comfortable working daily with a computer to complete work
- Strong teamwork skills to see a project to completion
- Ability to work closely with a team and individually
Preferred, not required:
- Background in communications, graphic design, marketing, and/or computer science.
- Experience with Salesforce tools (ex: Marketing Cloud, Social Studio)
