To work closely with the Grants Implementation Team Leader and the Ministry of Health & Child Care, and other partners in providing technical support, mentoring and monitoring nutrition project activities in the emergency response to acute malnutrition project, as well as managing project staff in the Project.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Project Coordination and monitoring and evaluation
  • Plan and organize Nutrition project set up in prioritized areas and work with MoH officials to ensure all aspects of project are understood, implemented and documented appropriately according to protocols.
  • Investigate potential project areas for expansion and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Prepare accurate and timely technical reports and monthly reports.
  • Facilitate MoH staffs at provincial/district/community levels (as appropriate) to fully participate in decision-making regarding project activities.
  • Integrate nutrition activities with other health interventions
  • Represent World Vision at MoH, (and related government fora), UN and other partner agencies during health and nutrition related coordination interventions
  • Network and cultivate linkages with provincial and district partners to co-ordinate functions, share lessons learned and develop common nutrition projects.
  • Financial Management- Ensure budget conforms to donor requirements,
  • Manage and monitor project budget.
  • Ensure all nutrition activities meet necessary funding requirements.
  • Human Resource Management- Oversee training and development of staff, local assistants and communities towards nationalization of health program
Educational Background: 
Degree in Nutrition, Public Health or Nursing with experience in Public Health/Nutrition programming
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5 years’ experience in project planning, management and service training
  • Experience in cash and livelihoods programming
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills and local languages
  • Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment
  • Cross – cultural sensitivity, flexibility, emotional maturity.
